War Update: 40 Battles On Frontline Since Dawn, Pokrovsk Sectors Remains Hotspot

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrinform says.

“Since the beginning of the day, 40 combat engagements have taken place on the front,” the statement reads.

According to the General Staff, the enemy fired artillery from Russian territory at settlements, including Kliusy in the Chernihiv region, and Ryzhivka, Rohizne, Budky, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne, Bila Bereza in the Sumy region.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropping five guided aerial bombs, and conducted 30 shellings of settlements and Ukrainian positions.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy launched two attacks toward the settlements of Hrafske and Vovchanski Khutory.

In the Kupiansk sector, no enemy offensive actions were recorded.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled four attacks toward the settlements of Novoselivka, Stavky, and Lyman.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops attempted to advance on Ukrainian positions near Platonivka and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka. Three clashes are ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy carried out one offensive action near Vasiukivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the Russian invaders launched six attacks near Kostiantynivka, Kleban-Byk, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces made 16 attempts to push Ukrainian troops from their positions near Rodynske, Molodetske, and Filiia. Ukrainian defenders have held their ground and already repelled 11 attacks.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, no enemy offensive actions were recorded.

In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy attacks near Solodke, Huliaipole, and toward Nove Zaporizhzhia and Zaliznychne. One clash is still ongoing. The settlements of Zelene and Verkhnia Tersa came under Russian airstrikes.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy carried out one offensive action near Stepnohirsk and launched an airstrike on Komyshuvakha.

In the Prydniprovske sector, no enemy offensive actions were recorded.

No significant changes in the battlefield situation were recorded in other sectors of the front.

As reported by Ukrinform, on February 3, 153 combat engagements were recorded between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders, with the heaviest fighting in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors.
