Seven Injured In Russian Strike On Apartment Building In Kharkiv


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Kharkiv regional police announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"According to updated information, seven people sought medical assistance. A 57-year-old man and an 84-year-old woman sustained injuries. Four more women aged between 84 and 90, as well as a 28-year-old man, suffered acute stress reactions," law enforcement officials said.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the war crime under Article 438 of Ukraine's Criminal Code.

"At 19:45, rescuers completed efforts to extinguish the fire that broke out as a result of an enemy UAV strike on a five-story residential building in the Saltivskyi district," the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv Region said.

At least eight buildings were damaged as a result of the strike, the Kharkiv City Council said.

"According to preliminary information from the Department of Housing and Utilities, more than 180 windows and 54 balcony glass panels were shattered. The roof of the building hit by the drone was also severely damaged," the city council said.

Employees of the municipal enterprise Kharkiv Repair and Construction Company are sealing up damaged buildings.

At around 14:45, the Russian army struck a residential building in Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district. A fire broke out from the fifth to the second floor. Preliminary reports said that inter-floor slabs were damaged.

Earlier reports said five people had been injured.
