Municipal Enterprises Can Obtain Up To UAH 150M In Preferential Loans For Energy Efficiency PM Svyrydenko
“Due to Russian attacks on the energy sector, investments in energy efficiency and own power generation are becoming a matter of security for enterprises. The state provides support in this area, in particular through the 'Affordable Loans 5–7–9%' program, which is part of the 'Made in Ukraine' policy,” the statement says.
The head of government noted that business owners can receive loans of up to ₴150 million for a period of up to 10 years. The funds may be used not only to purchase solar panels, but also wind installations, energy storage systems, gas-piston, gas-turbine and biogas generation units, among other solutions.
As an example of effective use of state support, Svyrydenko cited the experience of the Municipal Water Utility in Zolotonosha, Cherkasy region. The enterprise took out a loan and installed solar panels with hybrid inverters. As a result, the water utility operates autonomously despite power outages following shelling and continues to provide uninterrupted water supply and wastewater services to the city.
The Prime Minister urged businesses and municipal enterprises of critical infrastructure to join the program in order to strengthen the resilience of communities and the country as a whole.
