Zelenskyy Arrives in Paris for Coalition Summit

(MENAFN) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reached Paris on Tuesday to participate in a high-level "coalition of the willing" summit focused on peace in Ukraine. His arrival was confirmed by press secretary Serhii Nykyforov to Ukrainian media.

According to the Elysee Palace agenda, French President Emmanuel Macron will first hold a working meeting with Zelenskyy at 12:15 pm (1115 GMT), followed by a working lunch at 12:45 pm (1145 GMT) with both Zelenskyy and a visiting U.S. delegation.

These discussions precede a leaders’ summit involving 35 nations, spearheaded by the UK and France, which have pledged support for Ukraine and expressed readiness to deploy troops should a ceasefire with Russia be established.

The summit, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, will focus on the current state of peace negotiations, progress on draft peace proposals, and the coalition’s role in providing security assurances for Ukraine.

According to a media outlet, citing a White House official, the U.S. delegation includes special envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.

In preparation for the summit, national security advisers from 15 countries, alongside representatives from NATO and the EU, convened in Kyiv over the weekend to discuss coordinated strategies.
