Most Poles See Freezing War In Ukraine As Most Likely Scenario Poll

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) These are the findings of a poll conducted on December 19-21 by the IBRiS research center for the outlet Wirtualna Polska among 1,000 adult Poles, Ukrinform reports.

In particular, when asked about a possible scenario for the end of the war in Ukraine in 2026, 51.6% of respondents pointed to a long-term freezing of the conflict, while 17.2% expressed the view that a peace agreement could be reached.

Only 3.7% of respondents believe in Ukraine's victory, while 9% believe Russia will win. At the same time, 18.5% of those surveyed said they were undecided.

As was previously reported, nearly 60% of Polish citizens do not believe that the war launched by Russia against Ukraine will end in 2026.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that a peace agreement was 90% ready, but the remaining 10% were very difficult. Finnish President Alexander Stubb said in his New Year address that some provisions of a potential peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia could not align with common notions of justice.
