State Of Kuwait Declares Close Follow-Up On Yemen Developments, Affirms Support For Gov't

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 30 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait on Tuesday affirmed it was closely following up on events taking place in the sisterly Republic of Yemen, expressing unwavering support for the legitimate Yemeni Government.
The State of Kuwait, in a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressed on the necessity to safeguard Yemen's unity, territorial sanctity and protecting interests of the brotherly Yemeni people for attaining their aspirations toward security, stability and development.
The State of Kuwait renewed the affirmation that security of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Gulf Cooperation Council constitutes a basis of its national security, based on the bonds of brotherhood and the joint destiny that groups the Council's states.
Moreover, the State of Kuwait praised the responsible approach undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and their keenness on backing the region's stability, boosting principles of good neighborliness and adherence to the GCC charter, namely the joint values and principles.
The State of Kuwait has affirmed in this respect it will continue to support all regional and international efforts aimed at bolstering dialogue, adopting diplomacy as the ideal avenue to attain security, stability and boosting the peace opportunities in the region. (end)
