War Update: 209 Combat Clashes On Frontline Over Past Day, Fiercest Battles Near Pokrovsk

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

The enemy carried out 50 airstrikes, dropping 128 guided aerial bombs. Also, Russian forces conducted 3,436 artillery and mortar strikes, including 89 using MLRS, and deployed 4,412 kamikaze drones.

Russian aviation targeted settlements of Pidhavrylivka, Pokrovske, Havrylivka in Dnipropetrovsk region, Varvarivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Rizdvianka, Vozdvyzhivka, Zaliznychne, Liubytske in Zaporizhzhia region.

Ukrainian artillery hit two clusters of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, five clashes occurred; Russian invaders launched two airstrikes dropping four guided aerial bombs, and 103 artillery strikes including one MLRS strike.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces conducted seven attacks near Starytsia, Prylipka, and toward Hryhorivka and Izbytske.

In the Kupiansk sector, there were three clashes; Ukrainian forces repelled assaults toward Kupiansk, Pishchane, and Mala Shapkivka.

In the Lyman sector, Russians carried out 14 attacks attempting to breach Ukrainian defenses near Novoselivka, Zarichne, Myrne, and toward Lyman, Zakitne, Druzheliubivka, Dibrova, Ozerne, and Drobysheve.

In the Sloviansk sector, four enemy assaults were stopped near Serebrianka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack near Minkivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces conducted 26 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, Yablunivka, Kleban-Byk, and toward Sofiivka, Stepanivka, Berestka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian forces halted 52 enemy assaults near Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Novoekonomichne, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, and toward Novopavlivka, Nove Shakhove, Rodynske, Serhiivka, Vilne.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, 22 clashes occurred near Yalta, Vyshneve, Rybne, Oleksandrohrad, and toward Iskra, Khoroshe, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Ivanivka, Sosnivka.

In the Huliaipole sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces stopped 19 enemy attempts near Huliaipole, Solodke, Dorozhnianka, Bilohiria, and toward Varvarivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces halted nine attacks near Shcherbaky, Mala Tokmachka, Stepove, Plavni, and toward Novoandriivka and Prymorske.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian forces carried out three unsuccessful attempts to approach Ukrainian positions.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of Russian offensive groupings were detected.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, total Russian combat losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, to December 29, 2025, stand at approximately 1,205,690 personnel, including 1,180 lost in the past 24 hours.
