Yemeni Government Applauds States' Praise For Saudi Arabia's Efforts For Yemen

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ADEN, Dec 27 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni Government on Saturday acclaimed statements released by sisterly and friendly states praising efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates regarding the recent developments in Haramout and Al-Mohra, underscoring Riyadh and Abu Dhabi's intensive efforts to reach peaceful solutions.
The Yemeni Foreign Ministry expressed in a statement deep appreciation of the sincere and brotherly stands taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its continuous efforts to preserve Yemen's security and stability and push toward comprehensive political solutions that achieve the Yemeni people's aspirations for peace and development.
Saudi Arabia on Thursday affirmed support for the president and members of the Yemeni presidential council and the efforts aimed at finding peaceful solutions to tackle the conditions between the two provinces.
Riyadh had also called on all Yemeni parties to practice restraint, abstain from any actin that may jeopardize security and stability, urged the transitional council to place public interest above other considerations, end the escalation and withdraw its forces from the two provinces.
The Saudi stand was widely welcomed by GCC, Arab and foreign states and organizations. (end)
