Trump calls on DOJ to release names of Democrats linked to Epstein
(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump on Friday demanded that the Department of Justice (DOJ) release the identities of “all” Democrats who allegedly had connections with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“The Dems are the ones who worked with Epstein, not the Republicans. Release all of their names, embarrass them, and get back to helping our Country!” Trump stated on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Commenting on a recent DOJ disclosure that over 1 million additional pages of documents related to Epstein had been uncovered, Trump claimed that “the DOJ is being forced to spend all of its time on this Democrat inspired Hoax.” He further questioned when the department would prioritize issues like election fraud, repeating, “The Dems are the ones who worked with Epstein, not the Republicans.”
Describing the ongoing investigation as “Just another Witch Hunt,” Trump accused the “Radical Left” of attempting to block discussion of “TRUMP & REPUBLICAN SUCCESS.”
According to reports, the DOJ announced Wednesday that it had obtained more than 1 million additional documents potentially tied to Epstein. Lawyers are reportedly reviewing the files “around the clock” to ensure legally required redactions that protect victims, in a process expected to take “a few more weeks.” The department has pledged to release the documents “as soon as possible” in compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law on November 19, as well as existing federal laws and court orders.
Epstein was found dead in his New York City jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. His victims have alleged that he ran an extensive sex trafficking network involving members of the wealthy and political elite.
The case has remained politically sensitive in the US, with lawmakers and advocacy groups across the spectrum pushing for greater transparency regarding Epstein’s associates and any individuals who may have facilitated his crimes.
