Fake Grand Egyptian Museum Ticket Website Shut Down, Ministry Warns Public

The Ministry of Tourism and Heritage acted swiftly against a fraudulent website that recently appeared online, falsely offering tickets to the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The site was immediately reported to the museum administration, and all necessary legal measures were taken. The National Agency for Regulation of Communications and other relevant authorities were notified, leading to the closure of the offending website.

Mr Sharif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Archaeological Works, emphasised the importance of vigilance in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape.

He urged internet users to verify that websites are official and authorised before making any payments or sharing personal information.
