Russian general gets killed in Moscow explosion


(MENAFN) Russian authorities have confirmed that Lt. Gen. Fanil Sarvarov was killed on Monday morning in an explosion in Moscow. The device, reportedly planted under his car, detonated, claiming the life of the general, who led the armed forces’ operational training department.

Russia’s Investigative Committee said that one line of inquiry involves possible involvement by Ukrainian intelligence services, although Ukraine has not issued any comment. Investigators have been dispatched to the site, located in the southern part of Moscow.
