(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the SSU reported this on Telegra.

One of the aircraft was positioned on a taxiway with a full combat load and was ready for a combat sortie. The aircraft was destroyed.

The estimated value of the two aircraft is around $70 million.

In addition, a confirmed strike hit the air traffic control tower, which may complicate the organization and control of flights at the airbase.

This marks the second successful SSU attack on Belbek airbase in recent days.

On December 18, SSU drones struck Russian equipment at the same airfield worth hundreds of millions of dollars, including two Nebo-SVU radar systems, a 92N6 radar for the S-400 Triumf air defense system, a Pantsir-S2 air defense system, and a MiG-31 aircraft with a full combat load.
