KP CM Directs Ministers To Conduct Fortnightly District Visits, Flags Delay In NFC Funds
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has directed provincial ministers to conduct field visits to their respective districts every 15 days in an effort to restore public trust and ensure effective checks and balances.
Addressing a meeting of the provincial cabinet, the chief minister said regular on-ground engagement by ministers was essential to improving governance and addressing public grievances in a timely manner.
He announced that the upcoming cabinet meeting would be briefed on a Good Governance Roadmap, while the chief secretary would also present a detailed briefing on progress made so far.

Despite limited resources, he said, the provincial government was making every possible effort to provide relief to the public.
The chief minister strongly criticised the federal and Punjab governments, alleging inhumane and undemocratic treatment of former prime minister Imran Khan, his wife and his sisters.
Referring to Tuesday's events, he condemned the alleged use of toxic chemicals in water cannons and violence against peaceful workers and parliamentarians, calling such actions a violation of democratic norms.
Sohail Afridi further said that the federal government was prioritising political victimisation over public welfare, a policy he claimed was reflected in declining indicators of GDP growth, agricultural output and industrial development.
In contrast, he maintained that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was taking comprehensive steps aimed at improving public welfare and governance across the province.
