Catalina Turcu

Prof Catalina Turcu is an academic in urban sustainability studies interested in people- and governance-centred approaches to understanding transformations in the built environment. Her research has looked at sustainable spatial development, indicators and monitoring frameworks, housing, energy, circularity and food; with climate, health and green infrastructure current areas of work. She is also the founder of UCL SDG Research Accelerator - - a transdisciplinary research initiative which takes science to policy and brings policy to science, in order to support sustainable, inclusive and healthy development of cities. She is regularly advising governments at the local, regional and national level, professional bodies and intragovernmental organisations such as the EU, World Bank, OECD, WHO and UN bodies.
