New School Building Inaugurated In Faryab's Almar District
MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A new school building has been constructed and inaugurated in the Almar district of northern Faryab province at a cost of nearly 16 million afghanis, funded by the Kingdom of Norway.
Mufti Zahidullah Zahid, an official at the Faryab Department of Education, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the primary school“Gapi Mirishkar” was built seven months ago with financial support from Norway through the“DARD” organization, at a total cost of 15.95 million afghanis and has now been officially opened.
He added that the building, constructed on a donated five-thousand-square-meter plot, is a solid, single-story structure that includes eight classrooms, an administrative office, a laboratory and a security room.
According to him, the facility also features a solar power system, a 32-meter boundary wall, a drinking water well, and a playground for students.
He said the inauguration of the building provides a safe and suitable learning environment for 288 students and resolves the issue of insufficient space.
