“Visible Breath, Invisible Wind”: A Dual Exhibition In New York City Explores The Poetic Dialogue Between Form And Atmosphere
One artist works through gesture, material density, and expressive mark-making to articulate the immediacy of breath-an intimate and physical trace of life. The other engages with abstraction and spatial sensitivity, creating works that shift like wind across surfaces and environments, leaving impressions without revealing their source.
Together, the two bodies of work create an interplay between presence and absence, weight and air, calm and movement. The exhibition invites visitors to consider how sensory experience-whether deeply personal or broadly environmental-can be transformed into visual meaning.
“Visible Breath, Invisible Wind” exhibitin offers a unified yet layered experience, presenting two distinct artistic voices that converge within the same atmospheric field.
About the Artists:
Chen Ying, a graduate of the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in China, now lives and works on Long Island, New York. Her work, rooted in personal somatic experience, has been featured in numerous exhibitions including the”Syosset Library Art Exhibition“ (Long Island, 2025),“the 5th Annual Flushing Poetry Festival Art Exhibition” (NYC, 2025), and "The Game Between Tradition and Art" (Venice, 2025).
Ignacio Campo Salinas (Madrid, Spain) developed his artistic vocabulary over 23 years in New York City before relocating his studio to Savannah, GA. His extensive travels across Europe, the US, and Asia inform a practice dedicated to exploring the space between the seen and the felt. "I use abstraction as a way to give presence to the unseen forces that shape us," says Salinas. "Each piece is an invitation to experience color as atmosphere and energy."
'Visible Breath, Invisible Wind' is more than a visual display; it is an immersive environment that encourages a slower, more sensory mode of engagement. The exhibition invites the public to witness a quiet yet powerful artistic encounter where form meets atmosphere, and the palpable meets the implied.
