Political Prisoner Tofik Abdulhaziiev Diagnosed With Brain Tumour

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The information was reported to Crimean Solidarit by the wife of the Crimean Tatar, Aliie Kurtametova, Ukrinform reports.

According to her, during a phone call, Abdulhaziiev stated that he had been informed about the tumor by Olga Angold, the head of the medical unit. She also noted that the Crimean Tatar had been scheduled for an appointment with a neurosurgeon to determine whether the tumour is malignant or benign.

“Now we will wait for him to be taken to the neurosurgeon, and for the doctor's assessment. I am very worried about Tofik. I suspected something like this as soon as he said that he had suddenly begun to lose his sight,” Kurtametova said.

As reported, Tofik Abdulhaziiev has been in the hospital since March 2024. He was diagnosed with disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis with involvement of the intrathoracic lymph nodes.

It was later reported that Abdulhaziiev is also losing his vision in the Chelyabinsk prison hospital.
