The award was presented by the region's leading intellectual Hindi monthly magazine in recognition of Dr. Sharma's significant contributions to enriching Hindi literature with contemporary scientific insights, cutting-edge technological developments, and modern research perspectives. His writings have consistently expanded the knowledge horizon of Hindi literature by bridging the gap between science, technology, and literary discourse.

The ceremony opened with the magazine's Editor Dr. R. P. Singh and eminent guests felicitating Dr. Sharma with a traditional uttariya and a citation. The citation was formally read by the publisher Ms. Ranjoo Singh. In an exemplary gesture, Dr. Sharma returned the honorarium to the Editor, requesting that it be used for the further development of the magazine-an act widely appreciated by the audience.

The event witnessed participation from academicians, professors, researchers, and students from universities and colleges across various states, lending the ceremony an atmosphere of intellectual vibrancy.
