Profile Articles Activity

I'm a postdoctoral researcher at the Nuffield Politics Research Centre at the University of Oxford. My research interests, which sit at the intersection of political behaviour and political psychology, coalesce around three main themes:

The way that economic circumstances and perceptions shape decision making at the ballot box explanations of why people support the parties and policies that they do - emotions, personality traits, upbringing and socialization how the intersection of individual-level characteristics and wider social or political context shapes political behaviour.
Methodologically, I utilise statistical analyses, predominantly with observational data. My research relies upon a range of advanced statistical approaches, including longitudinal analysis with panel data, structural equation modelling, and multilevel modelling.

Having completed my PhD at the University of York in early 2025, I have so far published in the British Journal of Political Science and Political Behavior, and my research has been featured in The Observer and The New Statesman.
