Meeting Between Ukrainian, US Delegations On Peace Plan Begins In US Umerov
"A meeting between the Ukrainian delegation and the United States on steps toward achieving a just peace has already started in the United States," Umerov said.
He noted that he remains in constant contact with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky:
"We have clear directives and priorities – protecting Ukraine's interests, a substantive dialogue, and moving forward based on the progress achieved in Geneva."
"We are working for real peace for Ukraine and guaranteed security," he said.
Umerov added that the delegation would report to Zelensky following today's meetings.

Following the talks in Geneva, Ukraine and the United States agreed to continue work on joint proposals for a peace agreement. Both sides confirmed that any future agreement must fully respect Ukraine's sovereignty and ensure a lasting and just peace.
The parties prepared an updated and refined framework document on peace after the negotiations.
