Sally Mcmanus

Sally is the director of the interdisciplinary Violence and Society Centre and co-deputy director of the UK Prevention Research Partnership consortium VISION (Violence, Health a Society). She specialises in quantitative research methods and the measurement of mental health and wellbeing. She is interested in population trends in health and health behaviours and the social determinants of mental health, including the role played by violence, abuse and socioeconomic adversity. Sally is also based at the National Centre for Social Research, where she advises on England's national mental health survey programmes and has led studies on temporal trends in women's mental health and on risk and resilience in self-harm and suicide.
