Shmyhal Meets With Commanders Of Two Coastal Defense Brigades In Southern Ukraine
He noted that during his visit to the defenders in southern Ukraine, he met with the command of the 34th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"Accompanied by Major General Dmytro Deliatytskyi, commander of the 30th Marine Corps, I listened to a briefing by the brigade commander on the current situation in the area of responsibility and the nature of the enemy's actions," Shmyhal said.
The minister presented service decorations to the soldiers and thanked them for their resilience in repelling Russian attacks.
"The units are holding their designated positions, and all attempts by Russian forces to advance end in failure," Shmyhal said.

He received a briefing from the brigade commander about the situation in the brigade's area of responsibility and the dynamics of combat operations.
"We discussed the security situation in the Kherson region in detail. The brigade's units are confidently holding back the enemy, maintaining their positions, and carrying out assigned missions," Shmyhal said.
The minister expressed gratitude for the troops' courage and professionalism and presented awards to soldiers who distinguished themselves in combat.
