Türkiye Posts Notable Uptick in November Economic Confidence

(MENAFN) Türkiye witnessed a notable uptick in economic sentiment this month, with confidence levels climbing 1.3% to reach 99.5 in November compared to the previous month, new government data revealed Thursday.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) documented gains across all five key sub-indicators during the reporting period.

Retail trade sentiment advanced 0.9% month-over-month, while confidence in the real sector expanded by 1.2% throughout November, the statistics agency confirmed.

Construction industry optimism strengthened by 1.5% during the month, accompanied by a 1% rise in services sector confidence and a 1.6% increase in consumer sentiment for November.

This benchmark gauge—which tracks the nation's broader economic health—operates on a scale ranging from zero to 200 points. Readings that exceed the 100-point threshold signal positive expectations regarding future economic conditions, whereas figures falling below that mark suggest a more cautious or negative outlook among economic participants.
