(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov wrote this on Facebook while commenting on the work of the Ukrainian delegation in Geneva, Ukrinform reports.

"Our current proposals while still not finalized include many Ukrainian priorities," Umerov said.

"We appreciate our American partners working closely with us to understand our concerns to reach this critical point and we expect to make more progress today," he added.

Earlier reports said that the Ukrainian delegation had begun work in Geneva to coordinate the peace plan.

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said he had held his first meeting in Geneva with national security advisers to the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany – Jonathan Powell, Emmanuel Bonne, and Guenther Sautter.

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed on November 21 that his administration had set next Thursday as the deadline for Ukraine to agree to the White House plan to end Russia's war.

According to an article by Axios, the plan consists of 28 points and is divided into four broad categories: peace in Ukraine, security guarantees, European security, and the future of U.S. relations with Russia and Ukraine.

Following his conversation with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance on November 21, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine, the United States, and Europe would work at the advisers' level to ensure that the path to peace becomes truly workable.

Umerov said that consultations between senior Ukrainian and U.S. officials on possible parameters of a future peace agreement would begin in the coming days.

On November 22, Zelensky signed a decree establishing a Ukrainian delegation to participate in the negotiation process with the United States and other international partners, as well as representatives of the Russian Federation, to achieve a just and lasting peace. The delegation is led by Yermak.
