I am Reader in Chinese Politics and Development at the Lau China Institute, King's College London. I am also affiliated to the King's India Institute. I completed a PhD in Land Economy and a postdoctoral fellowship in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge before joining King's in 2012. My long-term research interests centre on the comparative study of China and India, with specific focuses on migration, urban development, policy mobilities, identity registration and access to resources.
