(MENAFN- UkrinForm) He made the statement during a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelensky, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“During today's meetings, we emphasized the need to continue the Istanbul process with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach. We believe that the Istanbul negotiations represent an important milestone in diplomatic efforts, as the destructive consequences of the war continue to grow for both sides,” Erdoğan said.

According to him, it would be advisable to relaunch the Istanbul process with a more comprehensive approach to addressing current issues.

“We expect all our partners who wish to end the bloodshed in the region to demonstrate a constructive attitude toward the Istanbul process,” he stressed.

Erdoğan recalled the humanitarian outcomes achieved during the three rounds of negotiations in Istanbul and underscored that Türkiye is ready to discuss with Russia any proposals that could accelerate a ceasefire and open the way toward a just and lasting peace.
