Youth Must Lead Future Policies, Experts Tell Knowledge Summit 2025


(MENAFN- Mid-East Info) Dubai, UAE –November 2025: Participants at the Knowledge Summit 2025 in Dubai underscored the vital role of youth in transforming knowledge into meaningful environmental and social progress.



During a session titled, 'Knowledge at the Core of Collective Progress', speakers highlighted the need to strengthen human capital, foster cross-sector collaboration, and ensure young people are central to shaping future policies and development strategies.
  • E. Dr. Salem bin Mohammed Al-Malik, Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), said that youth must be involved in today's strategies and policies to make future decisions.

    “Young people are very ambitious, and they must be involved in future policies as they look to the future in a different way,” Dr. Al-Malik said in the session.

    “You can't plan tomorrow without involving youth. Our aim is to have 60 percent of our manpower below the age of 35, as young people inspire you to do more initiatives.”

    He believes that working together across different sectors will create a positive social impact for societies and governments.

    “I believe collaboration will give us sustainable products and real impact. sIt is important to have collaboration between sectors for better outcome and long-lasting impact,” he added.

    H.E. Timur Suleymanov, Aide to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, said that knowledge is power, and innovative technologies can foster communication between governments, people, and businesses.

    “We always search for knowledge. We have 40 universities in Tatarstan and we are famous for the high quality of education,” he said.

    “It's difficult to keep the talented people in the region after completing their studies, but this turned into a source of power as they became ambassadors for us all around the world. They are doing best promotion for the country which attracts investors, governments, and students.”

    He pointed to the importance of education in transferring knowledge between generations.

    “We bring and engage youth because they are the long-term investment. Through education, you transfer the vision and knowledge of the leaders to societies and the next generations,” he added.

    Professor Abdullah bin Saleh Al Washmi, Secretary-General of the King Salman International Academy for Arabic Language, highlighted the important role of language in transferring knowledge and communication among people.

    “Our aim in the academy is to connect the Arabic language with technology through different initiatives such as digital dictionaries and focusing on AI.”
