The minister also called on the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, where both sides discussed ways to deepen bilateral engagement and expand future cooperation.

The visit comes amid sustained high-level interaction between the two countries. In October, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal co-chaired the India–Qatar Joint Commission meeting in Doha and highlighted new opportunities for Qatari investments in India.

The government said the visit by Jaishankar will help advance bilateral engagement and support ongoing collaboration in energy security, economic partnership and regional stability.
