Cristiana Bertazoni is a historian with a degree from the University of São Paulo and a PhD from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom. She is currently a researcher at the Department of Anthropology of the Americas at the University of Bonn, Germany, where she serves as Principal Investigator of the project Mapping the Sacred Landscape of the Ashaninka, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
