Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Athletics Federation announced the list of athletes who will represent Qatar in athletics at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which will run until November 31.

The list includes seven athletes in track and field events: Ashraf Hussein and Hussein Ibrahim in the 400m, Abubaker Haidar in the 800m, Ashraf El Saifi and Ahmed El Saifi in the hammer throw, Ahmed Jibril in the shot put, and Moath Ibrahim in the discus throw.

Athletics is one of the main competitions on which the Qatari delegation relies to win medals, especially given the presence of distinguished athletes who previously earned medals at the Asian level.

The Qatari delegation participating in the games includes 82 athletes, representing 16 sports: athletics, duathlon, 3×3 basketball, karate, equestrian, wrestling, volleyball, handball, taekwondo, table tennis, judo, weightlifting, camel racing, swimming, fencing, and athletics for athletes with special needs.
