Afghanistan A Beat Sri Lanka A By 3 Wickets In Rising Stars Asia Cup
KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan A defeated Sri Lanka A by three wickets in the Rising Stars T20I Asia Cup 2025 at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Qatar.
Sri Lanka A won the toss and opted to bat first on Saturday, posting 170 runs for the loss of nine wickets and setting a target of 171 for the Afghan Abdalyan.
Milan Rathnayake top-scored for Sri Lanka A with 41 runs.
For Afghanistan A, young fast bowler Bilal Sami grabbed four wickets, while Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar chipped in with three scalps.
In reply, Sediqullah Atal hit a half-century to guide Afghanistan A to a successful chase, reaching the target with just one ball to spare.
Atal scored 54 runs, while Imran Mir contributed 34 and skipper Darwish Rasooli added 32.
Afghanistan A will meet Bangladesh A in their second match of the tournament tomorrow (Monday) at the same venue.
