Shura Speaker, Morocco's House Of Councillors President Discuss Bolstering Parliamentary Ties
Islamabad: Speaker of the Shura Council H E Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met yesterday with President of the House of Councillors of the Kingdom of Morocco, H E Mohamed Ould Errachid.
The meeting took place on the margins of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference convened in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Both sides discussed aspects of the ongoing collaboration between the Shura Council and the House of Councillors, as well as avenues for boosting parliamentary coordination on issues of shared concern, particularly with respect to activating consultation channels and exchanging expertise in regional and global forums.
In addition, the meeting explored subjects on the agenda, especially those related to reinforcing the parliamentary role in supporting peace and development.
The two sides underscored the importance of unifying parliamentary efforts to address common challenges and stand in support of Arab and Islamic cooperation pathways in service of national issues and in bolstering joint parliamentary action.
