New Motor Vehicle Sale (Oct.) There were 167,017 new motor vehicles sold in Canada in August, increasing 0.5% from August 2024. In dollar terms, sales decreased 1.7% in August 2025. Sales of new passenger cars increased 1.0% from one year earlier, the third consecutive monthly increase for this subsector. There were also more sales of trucks (+0.4%).

Monthly Survey of Manufacturing (Sept.) Manufacturing sales decreased 1.0% in August, driven largely by lower sales in the transportation equipment and food subsectors.
