In my research I explore who has the power to determine the meaning of global environmental issues, like climate change. Climate change is an issue that impacts every living being on this planet, but not everyone shapes how we know and respond to it, despite the fact that the outcomes of this collective decision-making will impact everyone's future. Who participates in intergovernmental processes matters, and my research has explored this within the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and related processes, including the Global Stocktake (GST) and the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples Platform (LCIPP).
