Security forces conducted two successful operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing three militants linked to the so-called Khawarij network, including an active officer of the Afghan Border Police, the military's media wing said on Monday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were carried out on November 2 as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts targeting the Indian-backed proxy network of Fitna al-Khawarij.

In one operation, forces detected militant movement in an area opposite Esham in North Waziristan, where the militants were attempting to cross the border into Pakistan.

The security forces effectively engaged the group, killing two operatives associated with the Indian proxy Khawarij network.

The ISPR stated that one of the slain militants, identified as Qasim Afghan, was an active member of the Afghan Border Police. In another operation in Tank district, a militant identified as Ikramuddin alias Abu Dujana, also of Afghan origin, was killed.

The statement reiterated Pakistan's consistent demand for effective border management and urged the Afghan interim government to ensure that its soil is not used by militants and their facilitators against Pakistan.

The ISPR further affirmed that security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue counterterrorism operations relentlessly to eliminate any remaining threats to peace and stability.
