Ndumiso Daluxolo Ngidi is an Associate Professor and the Director of the International Centre of Non-Violence based at the Durban University of Technology. His research interests include: Gender Transformative Pedagogies; Gender & Childhood Geographies; Geographies of Violence; Gender & Childhood Sexualities; The Sociology of Urban & Rural Education; Gender & Difference in Education; and Participatory Visual Methodologies. In 2018, Ngidi was selected in the Mail and Guardian 200 Most Influential Young South Africans- Education. In 2015, he became a fellow in the highly competitive Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation 10 Best Young African Scholars. In 2018, Ngidi won a grant award from the World Bank and Sexual Violence Research Initiative's (SVRI) Development Marketplace for Innovation on Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response. Finally, in 2019, Ngidi received the Laura Bassi Award and Scholarship for Outstanding Global Young Academics.
