Verstappen Triumphs at United States Grand Prix


(MENAFN) Red Bull’s Dutch racer Max Verstappen triumphed in the 19th round of the Formula 1 World Championship, the United States Grand Prix, which took place in Austin, Texas.

The competition unfolded on Sunday, covering 56 laps around the 5.5-kilometer (3.4-mile) Circuit of the Americas.

Starting from pole position, Verstappen crossed the finish line first with a total time of 1 hour, 34 minutes, 00.161 seconds, securing his fifth win of the season.

Finishing in second place was McLaren’s British driver Lando Norris, trailing Verstappen by 7.959 seconds.

Meanwhile, Ferrari’s Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc claimed the third spot, 15.373 seconds behind the leader.

The season continues with the Mexican Grand Prix scheduled for Oct. 26.

Verstappen’s win has reduced the points difference in the championship battle as the season approaches its concluding phase in Mexico.
