Austrian ambassador Erika Bernhard thanked Qatari cultural institutions, saying:“We are pleased to present this exhibition once again in partnership with Katara Cultural Village on a special occasion marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Austria and Qatar.” The envoy lauded the works of Baruch, describing them as a poetic exploration of identity, memory, and human connection, creating a visual dialogue between past and present that expresses both personal experience and shared human emotions. She said that the artist's works go beyond visual beauty, offering an invitation to contemplation and enriching spaces with meaning and warmth. “Within the folds of this exhibition, the message of art is clear - to build bridges of communication between cultures and peoples. I hope this experience will remain alive in our memories as a testament to the strong human friendship between our two countries,” Bernhard added. Baruch was born in Vienna into a multidisciplinary artistic family and studied at the University of Applied Arts and the Higher Institute of Graphics. Her artistic career spans more than four decades, including 15 years in Qatar, where she became part of the local art scene. Her works have been exhibited in prestigious institutions in both Austria and Qatar, including the Fire Station: Artists in Residence.
