
U.S. Envoy To NATO Announces Upcoming Arms Deals For Ukraine
“The PURL program is currently operating smoothly and effectively now. Right now we're just expecting our European allies to continue to buy and there'll be like I said some big announcements I expect tomorrow,” Whitaker said.
He added that“now it's time for our NATO allies to step up and really operationalize their commitment to Ukraine and the defense of Ukraine, in order to create a scenario where we can get a peace deal.”
Under the PURL program, Ukraine can purchase weapons from the U.S. using funds from European partners, after the United States ceased providing direct assistance.
