El Gouna Marks 35 Years with the Red Sea's First Ever 35-Michelin-Star Culinary Showcase

The event will bring together world-renowned chefs holding a combined 35 Michelin stars, the world's highest distinction for culinary excellence, further cementing the culinary pillar in El Gouna’s portfolio. As a pioneer in developing platforms across art, culture, sports, entertainment, entrepreneurship and gastronomy, including its flagship event El Gouna Film Festival, the town continues to lead and inspire its community, reinforcing its role as a destination for innovation and global dining excellence.

Spanning four days in November, this festivity will unfold in its natural home, a destination where sustainability, community and gastronomy have long gone hand in hand. The week will feature exclusive fine dining experiences and interactive masterclasses in cooking and pastry-making, led by Michelin-starred world-renowned chefs who will craft signature dishes using 35 curated local ingredients. This event is set against an already thriving culinary landscape, with over 100 diverse dining offerings, blending local authenticity with global cuisines.

In parallel, the culinary celebration marks the launch of La Maison Bleue Residences (LMBR), a new residential development, inspired by the artistic and architectural legacy of La Maison Bleue Hotel. LMBR combines distinctive architecture, waterfront views, and hotel-managed living. The project reflects El Gouna’s continued commitment to offering thoughtfully designed spaces and culturally inspired experiences along the Red Sea.

This landmark celebration will culminate in a Gala Dinner, hosted at El Gouna’s newest restaurant "Botanica", the Middle East's pioneering hydroponic restaurant, bringing the concept of seed-to-table to life, with curated Michelin-star dishes crafted entirely from homegrown fresh ingredients using innovative soil-free farming. El Gouna’s farm-to-table heritage, sustained by locally cultivated produce and pioneering hydroponic initiative, makes the town a leader in sustainable gastronomy. With this unique fusion, El Gouna’s welcoming the world’s top chefs while setting the stage for a global dialogue between culinary innovation and local tradition.

Among the highlights of the week is a masterclass by Italian Chef Norbert Niederkofler, a renowned three-Michelin-starred chef and recipient of the Green Michelin Star for his commitment to sustainability, who will share his celebrated philosophy of cooking in harmony with nature.

Other internationally acclaimed chefs include Himanshu Saini, owner of the first Indian restaurant to receive three Michelin stars, Fabrizo Mellino, the youngest chef to hold three Michelin stars, Daniel Hadida & Eric Robertson, recipients of two Michelin stars and a Green Michelin Star in 2025, as well as Ariel Hagen, Sara Aqel, Salah Bin Taleb, Tamara Rigo and culinary innovators Mattia Spedicato and Federico Balzarini.

This Michelin-starred event sets a new benchmark for Egypt and the Red Sea, cementing El Gouna’s positioning as home to global culinary innovation, complementing its premium lifestyle as a coastal destination.
