Assets Of KP's CM-Designate Sohail Afridi Valued At Just Rs578,000
Details of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Chief Minister-designate Sohail Afridi's assets have emerged, revealing a total value of just Rs578,000.
According to official documents, Afridi's assets were worth Rs376,000 in the fiscal year 2023, with an increase of only Rs200,000 in the current financial year. The government record shows that he owns neither a house nor any business. His listed possessions include a refrigerator, a washing machine, and two bank accounts.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja earlier confirmed Sohail Afridi's nomination as the new chief minister, citing the deteriorating law and order situation in the province as the reason behind the leadership change.

Raja said that the alarming rise in terrorism-related incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has led to significant loss of life, making it necessary to replace Ali Amin Gandapur.
He added that Imran Khan believes Sohail Afridi's appointment will mark a new beginning for the province. According to him, the federal government's policies regarding Afghanistan have adversely affected Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's security, and Afridi is expected to play a key role in pulling the province out of this crisis.
