Arab League Welcomes 1St Phase Of Peace Plan On Gaza

CAIRO, Oct 9 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul-Gheit welcomed on Thursday the initial phase of the peace plan for the Gaza Strip.
In a statement on X, Abul-Gheit said that this was great news for the people of Gaza who have been under relentless and savage assault over the last two years.
Abul-Gheit expressed hopes that the agreement would continue to be implemented to include the withdrawal of Israeli occupation troops and the exchange of hostages, expressing gratitude to Egypt, Qatar, Turkiye, and the US for their roles in the deal. (end)
