(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama) The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) reported that the Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of Panama (IMHPA) issued a warning for significant rain and downpours that will remain in effect from midnight tonight until 11:59 p.m. on October 12. The phenomenon is associated with tropical wave number 33, which is accompanied by low pressure in the Caribbean and increased atmospheric humidity, conditions that could generate continuous rain, intense downpours and thunderstorms of varying intensity across much of the country.



Among the provinces under a meteorological warning are: Bocas del Toro, Chiriquí, Veraguas, Herrera, Los Santos, Coclé, West Panama, Panama, Colón, Darién, the Ngäbe Buglé Region, the Guna Yala Region and the Emberá Wounaan Region. Authorities are urging the public to take precautions, avoid crossing swollen rivers or streams, and stay informed through official channels.
