 Turkish Stock Market Opens Slightly Higher
(MENAFN) Türkiye’s leading stock index started trading on Tuesday at 10,741.77 points, registering a minor increase of 0.06%, equivalent to a gain of 6.90 points compared to the prior session's closing figure.
During Monday’s trading session, the BIST 100 experienced a decline of 1.14%, ending the day at 10,734.87 points.
The total trading volume for the day reached 117.7 billion Turkish liras, which is approximately $2.82 billion.
As of 09:50 a.m. local time (0650GMT) on Tuesday, foreign exchange rates were recorded at 41.7020 Turkish liras per US dollar, 48.7750 against the euro, and 56.1495 versus the British pound.
In terms of commodities, the value of an ounce of gold was at $3,960.20, while Brent crude oil was being exchanged at a price of $65.55 per barrel.
