Mild Spell To Continue Across The Kingdom Until Friday

Amman, Oct. 7 (Petra) -- Pleasant autumn weather is set to linger across the Kingdom this week, with cool breezes, mild temperatures, and scattered clouds through Friday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
On Tuesday, the weather will be pleasant over the highlands and plains and moderate in other regions, with low clouds appearing at intervals. Northwesterly winds will blow at a moderate speed, occasionally picking up.
On Wednesday, conditions remain similar, mild and partly cloudy, especially in elevated areas. Westerly winds will stay moderate, sometimes becoming active.
Thursday will bring a slight drop in temperatures and unstable weather, as light, scattered rain showers may fall over northern regions and parts of the central and eastern areas. Winds will be northwesterly, occasionally dusty in the desert.
By Friday, temperatures are expected to edge upward, with the weather staying pleasant over the highlands and plains and mild elsewhere. Low clouds will appear at times, with northwesterly to northeasterly winds maintaining a moderate flow.
Temperature readings for today show highs and lows of 25 and 15 degrees Celsius in East Amman, 23 and 13 in West Amman, 22 and 12 in the northern highlands, and 24 and 13 in the Sharah highlands.
In desert areas, temperatures will range between 30 and 16 degrees, while the plains are expected to record 26 and 15 degrees. The northern Jordan Valley will see warmer conditions at 33 and 21 degrees, compared to 34 and 25 degrees in the southern Jordan Valley.
Around the Dead Sea and Aqaba, temperatures will hover near 33 and 22 degrees Celsius.
