KRCS Reaffirms Commitment To Expanding Humanitarian Partnerships, Programs

KUWAIT, Oct 6 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Chairman Khalid Al-Maqamis affirmed continued efforts to strengthen partnerships with regional and international humanitarian bodies and expand community programs within Kuwait.
Al-Maqamis made these remarks to KUNA on Monday following the announcement of the Society's new Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 term. The new board includes Khalid Al-Maqamis as Chairman of the Board, Dr. Naser Al-Tannak as Vice Chairman, Fahad Al-Mandeel as Secretary-General, Saud Al-Dabbous as Board Treasurer, and membership of Dr. Latifa Al-Meer, Youssef Al-Zaben, and Saud Al-Mukhaizeem.
He stated that the Society's achievements in humanitarian and relief work serve as a strong motivation to intensify efforts in the coming period, with the goal of alleviating human suffering and preserving human dignity, stressing that the Society bears an ever-growing humanitarian responsibility amid the succession of global disasters and crises.
Al-Maqamis expressed his pride in the renewed confidence in the Board of Directors, emphasizing the Society's commitment to advancing its strategic vision in serving humanitarian work at both the local and international levels. He also underscored the Society's adherence to administrative and financial regulations based on its institutional approach.
He added that the KRCS will continue its humanitarian efforts to provide relief to people affected by crises around the world, under the guidance and support of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Al-Maqamis noted that the Board of Directors has prioritized the development of institutional performance and the promotion of volunteerism through training programs and workshops. It will also focus on implementing sustainable projects that benefit vulnerable communities and ensuring rapid response to emergency relief operations worldwide. (end)
