Kuwait Army Chief Meets UAE Deputy Chief To Boost Defense Ties

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 6 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Khaled Al-Shariaan met Monday with UAE Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Sheikh Ahmad bin Tahnoun Al-Nahyan to discuss issues of mutual interest, particularly military cooperation.
The General Staff statement said both sides affirmed the strength of bilateral ties and the leadership's keenness to enhance joint work and exchange expertise to bolster defense capabilities against various challenges.
UAE Ambassador Dr. Matar Al Neyadi, Kuwait's Defense Undersecretary Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Meshal Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Maj. Gen. Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and senior officers attended the meeting from both sides. (end)
