Amb. Al-Zamanan: Kuwait Eager To Engage With Japan Business Community
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))
TOKYO, Oct 6 (KUNA) -- The Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan, Sami Al-Zamanan, said on Monday that his country was eager to engage with the Japanese business community and explore all possible avenues for cooperation.
In a statement to KUNA on the Kuwait Investment Outreach Seminar, co-hosted in cooperation with the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Al-Zamanan, underlined that the Embassy "avails itself at all times to the Japanese business community who wish to engage with Kuwait," and reaffirmed Kuwait's trust in the quality and expertise of Japanese companies.
The seminar underscored the growing momentum in Kuwait-Japan economic relations and reflected the shared commitment to expanding partnerships in line with Kuwait's long-term vision for sustainable development, he added.
The seminar, held at the Embassy in Tokyo, followed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between JETRO and KDIPA during the successful visit of His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to Japan last May.
Representatives of 20 leading Japanese companies attended the event, which aimed to highlight investment opportunities in Kuwait and ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.
The program featured presentations by Mitsubishi on its work and experience in Kuwait, and by Citibank, which offered insights into their work in Kuwait and economic trends in the country.
In addition, KDIPA delivered a detailed presentation on investment opportunities in Kuwait, particularly within the framework of Kuwait Vision 2035 and the country's ongoing infrastructure and diversification projects. (end)
