QRCS Wins GCC Humanitarian Award
Doha, Qatar: An official delegation from Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has participated in the 2nd GCC Humanitarian Summit 2025, organised by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility in Manama, Bahrain.
QRCS's delegation comprised Eng. Ibrahim Hashim Al-Sada, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; and Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Mulla, board member. During the conference, Eng. Al-Sada delivered a speech titled“GCC's Soft Power: Humanitarian Action as an International Image Leverage.”
He also received the 7th GCC Humanitarian Award in the NGO category, in recognition of QRCS's significant role and contributions in the field of humanitarian action and social responsibility locally, regionally, and globally.
In his speech, Eng. Al-Sada discussed several key points, including the importance of GCC humanitarian action as a key booster of the global image of GCC countries, portraying them as responsible regional and international powers.
Eng. Al-Sada presented QRCS's experience as a demonstration of that vision, through the use of humanitarian diplomacy.
Finally, he revealed QRCS's vision for the future: Committed efforts to maximise the impact of GCC humanitarian action at the regional and international levels, enhance joint GCC coordination, and help outline a fair international humanitarian agenda that defends the rights of vulnerable people and puts humanity first.
“GCC humanitarian action is no longer a secondary activity,” he commented.“It has become at the forefront of the global scene. QRCS is proud to be part of this blessed journey, believing that showing the positive image of our countries can be done through effective humanitarian action, humanitarian diplomacy, fruitful partnerships, and noble and selfless positions.”
