Putin Praises Deepening Ties with China
(MENAFN) Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday praised the “unprecedented” strength of the relationship between Moscow and Beijing in a message to Chinese President Xi Jinping, marking the 76th anniversary of China’s National Day.
In the message, made public by the Kremlin, Putin highlighted the growing cooperation between the two nations, emphasizing that their recent “thorough and constructive discussions” in Tianjin and Beijing were clear evidence of their current rapport.
Putin noted that China continues to progress along the path of economic, scientific, and technological growth, while also steadily enhancing its influence on the global stage.
He acknowledged Beijing’s contributions to tackling some of the most significant challenges on the international agenda.
The Russian leader also expressed his belief that the agreements reached during recent bilateral talks would serve to further strengthen the partnership and dialogue between the two nations.
He suggested these efforts would lay the groundwork for launching new, large-scale cooperative initiatives across a range of sectors.
“This undoubtedly meets the fundamental interests of the friendly peoples of Russia and China and is consistent with the construction of a just and democratic multipolar world order,” Putin stated.
China’s National Day, celebrated annually on October 1st, commemorates the founding of the People’s Republic of China, officially declared in 1949 by Mao Zedong.
